WorkshopsNanga workshops area great place to learn, experience and participate. With a focus on fun and inclusiveness, our workshop have something for everyone.
Harmony and Arrangement with Monique Clare – Learn a tune by ear, building an epic arrangement. Choose your own adventure through melody or accompaniment ideas. Instruments welcome. Zero Waste Q&A with Joe D'Esposito who has not thrown away trash or recycling since 2016, and makes his clothes and possessions out of recycled ‘trash’. Find out how he does it! A capella Singing Workshop with Ko-Ko includes interactives such as harmonising, creating bass lines, soundscapes, improvising and singing as a group. Appalachian Choir with John Flanagan Trio Learn the sweet harmonies of the Appalachian Mountains in a fun-filled session with leaders John and Dan. |
Bluegrass SlowjamBluegrass music is fun to play! Bring your acoustic instruments to the afternoon Slowjam and play bluegrass tunes at a reasonable pace in a friendly, relaxed, inclusive environment with Tom Francas. All levels of musicians are welcome and non-instrumentalists are also welcome to come and sing along, or listen and toe-tap 'til your heart's content. Booklets with bluegrass songs will be provided. The evening jam will provide a great opportunity to ramp the bluegrass up a notch!

Singalong with Bernard Carney - Bernard's singalong sessions are always fun! This year's theme is Nanga Songbook.
Blind Date Concert - Put your name in the hat and be paired with one of Nanga's Artists to create and perform a tune on the main stage. Always hilarious!
Fireside Jams - Nanga has many options this year: Bluegrass Slowjam, covers/singalong jams and originals song circles.
Poetry - Opportunities for experiencing and sharing poetry. Hosted by Ginny Webb.
Yoga - Saturday and Sunday mornings on the deck at Currawong. Hosted by Amrit.
Bush Walk - Join NBC caretaker Derek who will take you on a beautiful walk through the bush camp on Sunday morning. Bring good walking shoes!
