Recycling Initiative
One of the more logistically challenging aspects of the Nanga Music Festival is keeping our carbon footprint as small as possible. As there is no capacity to recycle in the Dwellingup area, the Nanga Committee (led by Greg Hoppo) has committed to a private contract to remove recyclable material after the festival ends. The committee will review the process later in the year to determine if the interest from our patrons is strong enough (and the volume collected large enough) for this to become a permanent part of the festival.
To get things off to a good start in 2017, there will be some 'Recycling Fairies' who will encourage and direct disposal to keep the waste sorted properly. If you are caught doing the right thing, you may even receive a ticket in our green raffle on Sunday afternoon.
Nanga is about community and joining in. We are hoping that all of our patrons will enthusiastically join us in making the most of our Recycling Initiative.
